Kansas law permits nonprofit religious, educational, charitable, fraternal and veterans organizations to conduct bingo games in which the players are charged for participation if the organization first obtains a bingo license from the Kansas Department of Revenue.

Pull-tabs may only be legally sold in Kansas during a scheduled bingo session conducted by an organization holding a current bingo license. In that situation, pull-tabs are called instant bingo. The sale or possession of a pull-tab under any other conditions is illegal in Kansas.
